He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret (nee Ackler); and his son Edward. He is survived by: his children, John Jr. (Jerilyn), Michael (Catherine), Gerard (Eve), Christopher (Michelle) and Bernadette Gismonde (Anthony); his grandchildren, Alexander, Kevin, Timothy, David, Margaret, Michael, Vanessa, Raymond, Titus, Michael, Christin Maya, Eva Rylee and Mary Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Emily, Brooklyn, Beau, Jamal, Tyrone, Easton, Jayden, Leo and Ivy; and his siblings, Marie and Edward.
