It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Casella of Woolwich Township, New Jersey, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Benito Casella (Benny); and her siblings, Dorothy Mowbray, MaryLou Daneke and Bob Merriel. She is survived by: her children, Gina Lopez (Elias), Joanne Fox (Brian) and Benjamin Casella (Michelle); her grandchildren, Benjamin Jr. (Alexis), Dominick, Sal and Vincent; her siblings, Annabelle Hamilton, Alice Smith and Norman Merriel (Priscilla); and her sister-in-law Nancy Merriel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Guardian Angels Regional School, Swedesboro Campus, c/o 140 Broad St. Swedesboro, NJ 08085 would be appreciated. (Previously St. Joseph's Elementary School in Swedesboro).
