She was predeceased by: her husband John Patrick Dowling; her parents, Nora Toomey and Denis Toomey; her sister Veronica Toomey Haley; and her sister-in-law Joan Dowling McCormick.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Dowling (Elizabeth Sweet Dowling), Eileen Dowling, Madeleine Dowling and Elizabeth Dowling; her granddaughters, Emily Dowling and Grace Dowling; and her caregiver Cathy Littleton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including her niece.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff (257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Elizabeth RC Church (700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481). A committal service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Luke's Cemetery (340 N Franklin Tpke, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423).
