With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Romano of Wyckoff, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 29, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joanne Romano to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michelina Sciancalepore and Lorenzo Sciancalepore; her son Thomas; her husband Michele; and her brothers, Lawrence Sciancalepore (Geraldine), Cosmo Sciancalepore and Mauro "Richie" Sciancalepore.
She is survived by: her daughter Michele; her grandsons, Michael Dell'Aquila (Sarah), Joseph Dell'Aquila (Madeline) and Kevin Dell'Aquila (Alice); her great grandchildren, Caroline, Virginia and Elizabeth Dell'Aquila; her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Sciancalepore, Maria Gargiulo, Carmella Belgiovine and Rose Romano; Patrick Donohue. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home (13-31 Saddle River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Anne's R. C. Church (15-05 St Anne St, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410).
