Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shirley Beekman in Wyckoff, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 99, on December 9, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Plunkett and Johanna Plunkett; and her husband Richard Beekman. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Houtsma (Kenneth) of Hawthorne and Debbie Scholem (Paul) of Rutherfordton; her grandchild Stacey Medek (Peter) of Hawthorne; and her great grandchildren, Madison and Caleb.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Shirley's name to the Christian Health Foundation in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
