Freddye leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Freddye’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Freddye will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Alexis Fitzgerald and Virgie Viola Fann Fitzgerald. She is survived by: her husband Thomas A. VanHook; her sister Carol Lee Fitzgerald Ferrell (Bernal) of Independence, Missouri; and her children, Lisa White (James) of Independence, Missouri, Leslye Rallo (Joseph) of Saint Peters, Missouri, Paul Alexander "Alex" Donnell (Tandi) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Lynda Donnell of Alamogordo. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1316 N Scenic Dr, Alamogordo, NM 88310).
