He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McMillian and Maudie McMillian; his son Jimmy; his great grandchild Allie; his brother Tommy; and his aunt Mary Picket.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Black; his daughters, Patti (Randy) and Judie (Leo); his grandchildren, Jami (Jarrod), Jessica (Kenny), Erika, Taylor (Angie), Adrian, Alyssa, Tyral (Bee), Cameron (Hillary) and Koby (Syanne); his sister Sissy; his great grandchildren, Joel and Teresa Marr; Shacie and Shaeden.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Tularosa Athletic Department.
