He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Bernard "J. B." Fitzgerald Jr. and Boneva "Bonnie" Gertrude Fitzgerald; his former wife Joan Harriet Irwin; his brothers, Mike and Tim Fitzgerald; his daughter Kelly Fitzgerald; and his friend Monika Bentley.
He is survived by: his sisters, Beverly Fitzgerald Courington and Patricia Fitzgerald Hutchison; his daughter Sheila Fitzgerald Pate (Darren); his wife Marcia Porter Heinz; and his grandchildren, Michael Fitzgerald, Sarah Turner, Brandon Pate, Christian Pate and Katie Pate. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Faith Baptist Church of Alamogordo would be appreciated.
