We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2022, at the age of 79, James Smurda (Alamogordo, New Mexico), born in Steubenville, Ohio passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Smurda to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Smurda and Rosealia Smurda; his wife Valerie; and his siblings, John Robert Smurda, Bernard Smurda, Ronald Andrew Smurda and Donna Deiderich.

He is survived by : his children, Shawn Smurda of Howe, TX and Dawn; his son-in-law Brian Rowland of Elk Grove, CA; his grandchildren, Victoria, Dominic Smurda, Dalton and Dillon Rowland; and his friend Father Joe Lugo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and his longtime family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Shriner's Hospital, St. Jude Hospital or the Glioblastoma research foundation.
