It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tarcila Peña of Alamogordo, New Mexico, who passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Tarcila has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Portillo and Emilia Chacon Portillo; her husband Crispin Sr.; her son Art; her grandson Dominic Peña; and her daughter-in-law Linda Peña (Ortega).

She is survived by: her son Crispin Peña of El Paso, TX; and her daughter-in-law Annette Peña of Alamogordo. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
