It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Ann Hartman (Alamogordo, New Mexico), born in Caldwell, Texas, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Hartman; her former husbands, Joseph Batten and Rollin Pietz; her son Terry Batten; her parents, John Dana and Vlasta Dana; her brother John Dana; and her sister-in-law Maurine Dana.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne Sealander (Dwayne Nowell) and Karen Hunter (David); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Cellurale (John) and Jeremy Paz of Alamogordo; her stepgrandson Jason Nowell (Maggie) of Alamogordo; her great grandchildren, Gavin, John Cellurale Jr., Alyssa Jenkins (Nick), Elizabeth Paz and Anthony Paz of Alamogordo; her stepgreat-granddaughter Camilla Nowell of Alamogordo; and her great great grandchild Ezra Jenkins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Alamogordo Funeral Home (2301 E 1st St, Alamogordo, NM 88310). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Monte Vista Cemetery (1590 E 1st St, Alamogordo, NM 88310). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Scenic Chapel (1334 N Scenic Dr, Alamogordo, NM 88310).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Vi's name to Alamogordo Home Health Care and Hospice, Elks Lodge #1897, or Kiwanis Club #31460.
