It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Benny Leyba of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Leyba and Isabel Martinez; his stepfather David Martinez; and his siblings, Rudy Martin, Velda Leyba and Virginia Leger.
He is survived by: the mothers of children, Lynn Valdez-Leyba and Gray Clarke; his children, Julia Vigil, Catherine Leyba-Morales and Benjamin C. Leyba; his grandchildren, Zachary Abeyta, Caleb Vigil, Devonte Leyba, Layla Morales and Riley Morales; and his sisters, Barbara Leyba, Cathy Rojas and Irene Roberts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rogers Mortuary (600 Raynolds Ave, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
