It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecilia Sanchez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Carrizozo, New Mexico, who passed away on June 1, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Serito Sanchez; and her parents, Philimon Lopez and Salome Lopez. She is survived by: her children, Genevieve Valencia (Paul), Peggy Chavez (Melcor), Nancy Sanchez (George Cordero) and Lawrence Sanchez; her grandchildren, Elena Valencia Large, Enrique Valencia (Kristy), Margarita Chavez-Sanchez (Jared) and Angelica Bollotta (Patrick); her great grandchildren, Simone Large, Savanna Large, Dominic Valencia, Victoria Sanchez, Luna Sanchez, Giovanni Bollotta, Santino Bollotta, Isabella Bollota and Daniela Bollotta; and her sister Rita Prudencio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church (5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the St. Jude of Thaddeus Catholic Church (5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
