With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernesto Montano of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Anton Chico, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Dario and Antonia Montano; and his brothers, Manuel, Juan and Carlos Montano.

He is survived by: his significant other Anita Romero; his children, Brian Montano (Anabelle), Yvonne Segovia (Henry) and Janet Serna (Doug); and his grandchildren, Randy Vigil (Cecilia), Shamaine Griego (Robert), Celina Griego (Brandon), Tomas Segovia (Aniqa), Sam Segovia and Ava Montano. He is also survived by his eleven great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
