He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Moreno; his children, Paloma Mayela Casillas Garcia, Perla Mariela Casillas (Julio Cesar Velasquez) and Arturo Jose Casillas; and his siblings, Matilde Casillas, Octavio Casillas, Heriberto Casillas, Fabian Casillas, Jesus Casillas and Guadalupe Casillas. He was also cherished by brother. along with many nieces, nephews.
