He is survived by: his wife Ana Luisa Martínez; his children, Viridiana Martínez and Speaker of the House Javier Martínez; his daughter-in-law Diana V. Martínez; and his grandchildren, Daryana, Marisela, Camilo, Dariela and Darissa.
