He is survived by: his mother Verona Mayes; his children, Andrea and Dion; his brother Melvyn Mayes; his children, Richard, Paul Bell, Patricia Bell-Young, Mary Bell and Jimmy Earl Bell; and his nieces and nephews, Beverly Edwards, Lonis, Shavis Dean Wright, D'Shont and Melvyn Mayes, Jr.. He is also survived by Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and other family members.
