He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Maldonado and Cirilia Maldonado; his wife Amelia Maldonado; his son Jake Maldonado; his grandson Jacob Maldonado; his siblings, Vidalia Gutierrez, Hermino Maldonado, Benny Maldonado and Julio Maldonado; and his sisters-in-law, Daisey Maldonado and Rose Maldonado.

He is survived by: his son Eloy "Randy" Maldonado (Bonnie); and his grandchildren, Felicia Maldonado (Jason Martinez) and Adan Maldonado (Caroline). He is also survived by his family, friends.
