He was predeceased by: his parents, Macario Montoya and Sinforosa Montoya; his wife Ramie Vigil Montoya; his brother Givi Montoya; and his granddaughter Adrianna Trujillo.
He is survived by: his children, Jean Duran (Ruben), Ray Montoya, Sandi Archuleta, Lynette Trujillo, Maxine Montoya (Sean Roberts) and Chris Montoya (Holly); and his siblings, Henry Montoya (Lizzy), Lourdes Garcia (Willie), Pauline Garcia and Rita Eberting (Darrel). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.
