He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Rael and Juan Lucero. He is survived by: his children, Diego Lucero (Regina), LeAnn Lucero (Dominic Trujillo) and Jessica Lucero; his grandchildren, Noah, Ava, Roman Trujillo, Jaxon, Liam and Cameron Lucero; and his close friend Veronica Dominguez.
