With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonel Andres Monroy (Albuquerque, New Mexico), who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 15. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Leonel departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Leonel may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Leonel leaves behind.
He is survived by: his parents, Cathy Chavez Monroy and Carlos Ruiz Monroy; his sister Montserrat Grace Monroy; his brother-in-law Jose Carreras; his grandparents, Marcos Perfecto Chavez and Lydia Contreras Chavez; and his siblings, Olivia Monroy, Carlos Monroy Jr. and Gladys Monroy.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Los Padillas Community Center (2117 Los Padillas Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105).
