He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulalia Fernandez and Jose Luis Fernandez; and his brother Gilbert Fernandez. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Fernandez; his children, David Fernandez (Joanne), Manuel Fernandez, Donna L Abbott (Christopher) and Louis M Fernandez (Stuart Garber); his grandchildren, Joseph L Fernandez, David V Fernandez, Michael G Fernandez and Gabriela M Aguirre Fernandez; his great grandchild Alexandra C Fernandez; his brother Julian Fernandez; his sibling's children, Christina Fernandez, Rachel Fernandez, Diana Gregory, Yvonne Hollis, Ron (Buddy), Ralph Fernandez and Julie Prado; his cousins, Ralph, Nira Roldan, Lorraine, Paul Sanchez and Rueben (Rosie Sandoval); Louis.
