It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mela Patterson (Albuquerque, New Mexico), who passed away on October 24, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramon Lopez and Regina Lopez; her siblings, Terry Romero, Isabel Ortega, Chris Nolan and Ramond Lopez; and her grandson Keith Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Patterson (Pamela) and Rita Montano (Phil). She is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters, four great-granddaughters, five great-grandsons, two great-great-granddaughters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory - Salazar Mortuary (400 3rd St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. Viewing will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (309 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102). A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102). A reception will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (309 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
