He is survived by: his siblings, JoEllen Gerschefski Wade (Carol Diamond) of Candler, NC, Martha Gerschefski (Clint Schaum) of Inman, SC and John Gerschefski (Jean) of Orrs Island, ME; and his sister-in-law Sheri Melton (Peter) of Maggie Valley, NC.
It was Mike's request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church building fund (50 Marvin Cabe Lane, Hayesville, NC, 28904).
