He was predeceased by: his parents, David Otero and Lora Otero; and his brother David Otero Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Michael Jason Otero (Jennifer) and Krista Otero; his siblings, Jackie Otero-Garza and Daniel Otero; his grandchildren, Maryah Marin, Shaun Anaya Jr., Matthew Silva, Sophia Silva, Alyvia Otero and Jocelyn Otero; the mother of his children Carol Maynez Medina; and his goddaughter Desiree Maynez. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel (1000 Old Coors Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121). A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (8321 Camino San Martin SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121). A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
