He was predeceased by: his brother Raynel Maestas. He is survived by: his parents, Leo Maestas and Esther Armenta Maestas; his daughters, Pauline Maestas, Serena Sandoval and Destiny Maestas; and his brothers, Aaron and Brian Maestas. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Strong-Thorne Mortuary (1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fairview Memorial Park (700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). A reception will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 13 (1201 Legion Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
