He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaspar Benavidez and Ursisinia Benavidez; and his siblings, Selso Benavidez, Cele Benavidez, Jose Benavidez (Pat), Gregorio Benavidez, Richard Benavidez, Louie Benavidez and Carol Gabaldon.

He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn; his children, Erwin Benavidez (Angela), Evelyn Gallucci (Pasquale), Michelle Candelaria (Pete) and Joseph Benavidez; and his brother Bill Benavidez. He is also survived by nine Grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
