He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia; his son Frederico Chavez; his parents, Fred Chavez and Ernestine Chavez; his brother Louie Chavez; his mother-in-law Stella Johnson (Edward); and his brother-in-law Edward Crespin.
He is survived by: his children, Jessica (James) and Robert Chavez (Laura); his grandchildren, Angelina, Anthony, Ricky and Lexi; his siblings, Ruth Baca (Jerry), Ray (Pauline) and Frankie (Barbara); and his sister-in-law Geraldine Crespin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Romero Funeral Home Chapel (609 N Main St, Belen, NM 87002). A rosary will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens (101 N 10th St, Belen, NM 87002).
