He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Lee Straughan and Dorothy Bradley; his stepmother Rosemarie Straughan; and his granddaughter Chaztayne Smith. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Dennis Smith (Tami), Les Smith (Alicia), Juliann Garcia (Damian) and Alan Straughan (Marie); his sister Roann Straughan-Sexson (Ron); his stepsiblings, Jalayne Billingham (Paul) and Brad Jenkins (Carol); his nephew Ryan Sexson; his caregivers, Christina and Carmen; Dell Montano. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
