She is survived by: her husband Ernest "Ernie" Chavez; her children, Yvette Baca (Paul), Ernest "Ernie" Chavez Jr., Randall "Randy" Chavez and Matthew "Mattie" Chavez (Gretchen); her foster son Chris Hamblin; her grandsons, Paul Baca (Emma) and Dominic Baca (Zoe); her siblings, Becky Chavez (Lawrence) and Leroy "Lee" Barboa (Rose); her nieces, Viola Garcia (Alex), Molly Chavez (Sabrina), Stephanie Sanchez (Donna) and Erica Holler (Nathan); her nephew Lawrence Chavez (Corey); her cousin Berla Gallegos (Gilbert); and her close friend Lucille Arias. She is also survived by friends, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riverside Funeral Home (225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
