Sandra Lee (Houghtaling Bird) DeNovellis Obituary
Sandra "Sandy" Lee Houghtaling Bird DeNovellis of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on June 5th, 2025. She was born on January 2nd, 1945 in Wellsville, New York. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Jacquelyn Ryan, her mother Louise Freeland, fathers Clifford Houghtaling and Victor Bird, and brothers Edward and Elmer Bird.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa Michael and Lori Bailey, grandsons Kevin Michael and Teal Harbour, brothers Stewart and Beryl Bird, sisters Mary Sterns, Vicky Wells, and Ester McLaughlin.
Sandy started her career as a real estate broker in New York (1972) and continued in New Mexico for nearly 40 years. As a member of many professional associations, she loved and took special care of her clients; many of which became life-long friends. Sandy was also a member of the Sandia Civitan Club where she loved to volunteer and help the less fortunate.
Her greatest love and passion were her grandsons who gave her such joy and were a blessing in her life.
Sandy's memorial service will be held June 27th, at 5pm. The location is Daniels Family Funeral and Cremation:
