It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simona Cordova of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Hurley, New Mexico, who passed away on July 25, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alonzo Cordova; and her children, Phillip Cordova and Teresa Cordova. She is survived by: her children, Randy Cordova (Leila), Joe Cordova, Veronica Cordova (Louie Serna) and James Cordova (Mary); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Phil Jr., Jacqueline, Cynthia, Vincent, Randy Jr., Diego, Katherine, Madeline, Lily, Jerome, Alexander, Fabian, Desiree and James; her great grandchildren, Gabriella, Mel, Luis Diego, Andres, Ignacio, Myriah, Phil, Lily, Mia, Eli, Julia, Ezekiel, Sebastian, Devon, Brielle, Giana, Zya and Jaxon; and her siblings, Marylou Sainz, Louie Sainz, Linda Sainz, Mary Sainz, Edward Sainz and Bobby Sainz. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gabaldon Mortuary (1000 Old Coors Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121). A Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
