He is survived by: his wife Carol Rhodes Chaves; his children, Thomas Chaves (Yvette Martinez Chaves), Matthew Chaves (Stephanie Garcia Chaves), Danielle Chaves Stanley (Jean) and Paul Stanley; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Katalina, Lilia, Maya, RaeLynn, Andres and David; his great grandchild Sylvia; and his sister Janice Chaves Rubi.
