He was predeceased by: his parent Merrit Thomas; his siblings, Merrit Staton Jr., Charlie Wilson, Fred Wilson, Bertha Staton and Ralph Wilson; his grandson Asa Webb; and his nephew Billy Joe Green.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Wilson Jr. (Monica), Diana Yonker (Joshua), Jocelyn Cordero (Manuel), Michael Wilson (Ashley) and Mona Lisa of North Carolina; and his siblings, Jonell Thomas (George), Brenda Nelson and Marvin Wilson (Dorothy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins.
