With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Edward Barnes III in Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 4, 2026 at the age of 93. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Walter leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jr. and Margaret; his brother Thomas; and his son-in-law Dan Baisden (Anne). He is survived by: his children, Bill (Rose), Karen and Cindy; his sister Barbara Reynolds; and his pet Ted. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
