He was predeceased by : his parents, James and Eva; and his sister-in-law Jackie Love. He is survived by : his friend Kimberly Baker; his wife Kimberly; his stepsons, James and Kolby; his daughter Leilani; his siblings, Jim (Ellen), Donald (Alina) of John, Yvonne and Debra; his aunt Anne Johnson; and his nephew Patrick James (PJ). He is also survived by nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strong Thorne Mortuary (1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at the Fairview Memorial Park (700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at the Shiloh Baptist Church (608 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
