He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Maria De Jesus Gonzales; and his grandmother Maria Tomasa Duran. He is survived by: his parents, Nydia Ortega (Stephen Ortega) and Conrado Ruiz; his son Alfonso Ruiz; the mother of his child Luisa; his daughter Zenobia Atencio of Espanola, NM; his brothers, Ricardo Renteria, Joshua Ruiz, Issac Ruiz and Gabriel Rivas; his nephews, Dominic, Steven, Cypress and Sydd; and his niece Lynnae.
A rosary will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Santa Cruz de Canada Cemetery. A reception will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Espanola Senior Center (320 Hunter St, Española, NM 87532).
