He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Olmedo Abeyta and Rafaelita Sisneros; his great grandchild Adonis Abeyta; his daughter-in-law Renee Tafoya; and his siblings, Rosella Romero (Narcisso), Emma Tafoya (Pilingo), Mary Medina (Juan), Ernestina Mondragon (Climaco), Sophie Tafoya (Max), Margie Velasquez (Erlindo), Olmedo Abeyta (Cruz) and Isabel Archuleta (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Margie V. Abeyta; his children, Joseph Abeyta (Yolanda), Anthony Abeyta, Paul Abeyta (Melanie), Henrietta Abeyta and Carlitos Emilio Abeyta; his grandchildren, Tanya Abeyta (Rachel), Joe Anthony Abeyta (Amanda), Daniella Abeyta, Anthony Daniel Abeyta (JoAnn), Alicia Abeyta, Greg Abeyta and Angelica Abeyta; and his brother Eddie Abeyta (Anna). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and many dear friends.
