He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Bertha Klein (Alex) and Anton Alexander Klein (Alex); his children, David Klein and Lee Anne Klein; and his grandsons, Scott Klein and Jake Klein.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Klein; his children, Lex Klein (Susan), Timmy Klein (Tammy), Kathy Wells (Bill), Johnny Klein (Rusty) and Jeff Klein (Kim); his grandchildren, Kevin Klein (Hayley), Justin Powell (Kassandra), Jamie Reed (Randy), Kacy Brown (David), Karly Durbin (Eric), Allison Conklin (Lance), Courtney Gaines (Ryan) and Jenna Herrera (Jonathon); his sisters, Mildred Ruyle, Delores Walterschied and Virginia O'Kelley; and his son Flowers of Nelle's Floral. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
