He is survived by: his wife Francis Jackson of Artesia; his children, Clay Smith of Carlsbad and Elizabeth Smith Steed of Artesia; his sisters, Janice Durham of Bend and Dorcas Cottrell of Roswell, N. M.; his granddaughters, Becca Smith, Samantha Smith and Ashley Smith; and his nephews, Darin Durham, Darrell Durham, Jody Durham, David Bailey and Robert Bailey.
