He is survived by: his family George; his wife Barbara Gandy; his children, Christie Flowers (Clay) of Artesia, Lisa Woffard (Breck) of Lubbock, TX, Michelle Whitmire of Artesia, Greg Gandy (Karen) of Houston, TX and Michael Stark (Heidi Bryan Cobb) of Albuquerque, NM.; his grandchildren, Ethan Stark of Roswell, NM, Grant Gandy of Houston, TX, Hailee Harris (Bryson Ballew) of Artesia, NM, Jamie, Lorie Spencer of Covington, LA, Jenna Whitmire of Artesia, Tanner Harris (Joli) of Artesia and Trevor Whitmire (Kolby); his great grandchildren, Chloe and Justin Spencer of Covington, LA; his grandchildren, Colton, Cooper Schafer of Artesia, NM, Brooklyn and Shiloh Whitmire of Lubbock, TX.; his sisters, Marilyn Davis of Pampa, TX, Sharon Miller (Gordon) of Brownfield, TX and Deborah Woods (Wayne) of Richardson, TX; his grandsons, Garrison Gandy, Jett Whitmire and Triston Whitmire; his caregivers, Norma Renteria, Joe Pemberton, Bart Hanson and Ottie Spier; Sol Pritchard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Terpening Son Mortuary (611 W Grand Ave, Artesia, NM 88210). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Baptist Church (401 S 20th St, Artesia, NM 88210).
