We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2025, at the age of 70, Lewis Hendrix (Artesia, New Mexico) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Lewis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lewis farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis "Sonny" Hendrix (Barbara) and Elmeta McKenzie Welch; his grandmother Melissa Kinnibrugh; and his siblings, Carla Freeman and Carlo Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Queena Sanford and Lewis Hendrix Jr. (Jill); his grandchildren, Elexus Jankowski, Aryanna Sanford and Lily Hendrix; and his siblings, Carleta Freeman (Greg Doty), Kendale Hendrix (Johnna) and Dana Dean (Quentin).
