David Ray Russell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Ray Russell of Aztec, New Mexico, who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Pleasant Russell and Beatrice Willie Russell (Davis); his son Randy Don Russell; his sisters, Nancy Ann Nesmith and Charlotte Louise Lucy; and his grandparents, Charles Davis, Willie Birdie Davis (Hudson), Robert Russell and Mary Russell (Lewis).
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Vanderpool; his son Glen Russell; his daughters-in-law, Tina and Tonya Russell; his grandchildren, Lori Carrel, Michael Russell, Ryan Russell and Laramie Russell; and his great grandchildren, Kaidence Carrel and Maddison Carrel.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Farmington Funeral Home (2111 W Apache St, Farmington, NM 87401). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Greenlawn Cemetery (1606 N Dustin Ave, Farmington, NM 87401).
