He is survived by: his wife Dora Shorter; his children, Michael Shorter, Kenneth Shorter, William Shorter, Kennar Shorter, Shannie Atkinson (Keesha Atkinson), Heather Mariaca (Enzo Mariaca) and Alyssa Woolman (Montana "Monty" Woolman); his grandchildren, Preston Madena Shorter, Julian Salgado, Malachi Dillow, Alonzo Alcon, Emily Lamb, Trinity Jaramillo, Lalo Jaramillo, Eli Jaramillo, Wesley Shorter and Mila Shorter; and his siblings, Rickie Shorter (Vickie Shorter), Susie Mumm (Bob Mumm) and Kendra Skalenda (Kevin Skalenda).
