She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernabel Tapia and Severita Tapia; her siblings, Emilio Tapia Sr., Joe Richard Tapia Sr., Cordelia Sanchez and Agnes Gonzales (DeeDee); her goddaughter Adele Sanchez; and her nephew Emilio Tapia (Tino).
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Stewart (Michael), Ross Sanchez (Marlene), Leonard Sanchez (Emily) and Steve Sanchez; and her brother Joe Ernest. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church (101 N 10th St, Belen, NM 87002). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Terrace Grove Cemetery (1200 W Aragon Rd, Belen, NM 87002).
