He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Shivers and Boyd Shivers Sr.; his wife Gayla Shivers (Bonnie June Shivers); and his granddaughter Kayla Shivers (Gary Watkins). He is survived by: his sons, Gary Shivers (Crystal Shivers), Joe Shivers and Lary Shivers; and his grandchildren, TYler Shivers, Darren Shivers, Austin Nadeau, Arrow Shivers, Grace Shivers and Tachi'Bah Shivers.
