He was predeceased by: his parents, Sofia Saavedra and Roman Saavedra; and his siblings, Felix Saavedra, Rose Rael and Mary Sanchez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Ivey (John Ivey), Sharon Saavedra and Mary Chaves (Mario Chaves); his grandchildren, J. T. Ivey, Allie Ivey, Sofie Saavedra, Dominic Chaves, Noah Chaves and Charee Chaves; and his siblings, Roman Saavedra Jr. and Eva Mascarenaas (Raul Mascarena). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
