We announce the death of Stella Low (Belen, New Mexico), who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 92. Stella will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Stella will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Stella will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Stella’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fredrick Albert and Kathleen Louie Hammond; her husband Donald K. Low; her son Fredrick; her granddaughter Jennifer Woodley; her daughter-in-law Naomi Low of Fresno, CA.; and her friend Jody Skelton.
Stella's contributions to her community were significant, as she played a pivotal role in establishing the La Merced Moose Lodge in Rio Communities, New Mexico, where she served as the first Senior Regent.
