He was predeceased by : his parents, Gustav Andrew and Dorothy May Byo (Johnston); and his brother Charles Byo. He is survived by : his wife June Catherine Byo (Wajda); his children, James Byo (Jane), Susan Passell (Howard) and Kathy Hentosh (Richard); and his grandchildren, Ben Byo (Adrienne), Caitlin Thuet (Justin), Alex Byo (Mary) and Julia Passell. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
The family requests memorial gifts be made to the general scholarship fund of the Dana School of Music, Youngstown State University Foundation (ysufoundation.org).
