He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonardo Lucero and Julia Lucero; his son Leonard Lucero; his great grandchildren, Madison, Hunter Alumbaugh, Trinity Santistevan, Gabriel Sisneros, Rylee, Grace, Eli Swier, Angelina, Jacob Lucero, Skylar, Maisey Lucero, Matthew Curiel, Hezekiah, Benjamin Telles and Ella Bleu Jimenez; his great great grandchildren, Koa and Karaya Haynes; and his siblings, Reynaldo, Richard, Carlos Lucero, Bernie Garcia and Mary Duran.

He is survived by: his wife Carrie; his children, Sylvia Sisneros (Ronnie), Joseph Lucero and Sarah Hamelin; his grandchildren, Shanna Alumbaugh (Beau), Nathaniel Sisneros, Elisha Swier (Ross), Dominic Lucero, Joey Lucero (Sarah), Mia Cavaricci, Angelica Telles (David), Andres Lucero, Tamara Gros and Savannah Hamelin; and his siblings, Alonzo Lucero, Josie Leyva and Beatrice Hernandez.

A rosary was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Incarnation (2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Eulogy Church of the Inc (2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Incarnation (2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
